A bipartisan bill has been introduced in congress that is centered on reauthorizing and reforming charitable DPA programs. The legislation, sponsored by U.S. Reps. Al Green (D-TX), Gary Miller (R-CA), Maxine Waters (D-CA), and Christopher Shays (R-CT). These elected officials clearly see the need for DPA programs and are pushing to get the program reinstated with new guidelines to help bolster its mission – to make homeownership possible for everyone. The bill aims to create transparency in the DPA industry and to prohibit activities of DPA providers that result in conflicts of interests.

Now is the time to call your representatives in Congress and let them know that you support DPA! You can reach your representative’s office by call the US Capital Switchboard at 202-224-3121 or look up their information directly at www.rallyforhomeownership.org. Act now and support DPA! You can help make homeownership possible.
