Welcome to the Home Downpayment Gift Foundation. Our organization was founded out of the desire to help promote homeownership throughout our country.

As a Mexican born woman who grew up in the United States, I was exposed to the difficulties of home ownership first hand. So many individuals today, especially single mothers and minorities, find it challenging to meet the necessary financial requirements for a down payment of a home. Many of these same individuals are paying rent each month that exceeds what a mortgage payment would be. More importantly, they are not building equity and pursuing the American Dream!

This is where our organization can help out in the process. We provide charitable gifts that allow for individuals to meet the requirements of a down payment or the closing costs associated with a home purchase. This truly is a gift! The money does not have to be repaid.
